Building a blog comment by Ana

We have been learning to write positive, thoughtful and helpful comments. First we explored some awesome blog comments so we could see how to write a quality blog comment.

Next we shared our ideas on our learning site.

Then we read Adut’s blog post on Room 3’s Blog.

Finally we used the fridge magnets to build a positive comment for Adut’s blog post.

Here is a Ana’s comment. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Cook Island Language Week by Amber

On  Cook Island language week we researched a popular traditional art from Cook Island and it was tie dye. The most fun thing was experimenting with the colours.

When it was the closing of  Cook Island  language we were all sad but we knew that Cook Island language won’t last forever.

We were also unhappy when we made a vaka because we thought we were going to win but we  came second place . We wondered why we didn’t we win  but our teacher said “you don’t always have to win”  and we were like “she’s right” so we got over it  and were happy for the winning class.

Whole school challenge for Cook Island language week by Isaac

We created a vaka  with cardboard and sails, it was so fun. My favourite thing was  creating the vaka with cardboard. We had  assembly to share our vaka in the whole school challenge for Cook Island language week.  Room 5 came 2 place  and room 4 came first.

Room 5’s Vaka by Ana

This is a vaka that Room 5 created for Cook Island language week. It was a challenge for the whole school and if you won you would get ten minutes of extra play time. The best thing I liked was when we were doing the flag. We used our tie dye creation and put Room 5 on it.  Room 4 won the vaka challenge and the extra play time. I was happy because  we still came in the top 3
